With Valentine’s Day just around the corner many of us will have to bring in sweets and treats for classroom parties.
My boys are at the age where they love to help me in the kitchen…especially when there are sweets involved! So when we got a package with Pillsbury Valentine’s Funfetti cookie mix and Pillsbury Easy Frost –my oldest begged to make them immediately!! So that is what we did!
We decided to make heart cut out cookies. They boys loved the idea of Funfetti sprinkles already in the cookies. We usually do sprinkles once the cookies are done, so the idea of sprinkles in the cookies was the coolest thing to my four year old!
I had never tried the Pillsbury Easy Frost and was excited to check it out. Once the cookies were cool, I gave it a whirl. I love the fact that I did not have to pull out my pastry bags and decorating tips. Pillsbury Easy Frost No-Fuss Frosting features creamy frosting in a 13.5 oz aerosol can with a five – star decorating tip. So all you have to do is press the tip and voila…beautifully frosted cookies (or cakes, or cupcakes!) It was so easy, I let the boys decorate their own cookies.
For those who love to bake and decorate their dessert creations, Pillsbury Easy Frost No-Fuss Frostings now comes in pink just in time for Valentine’s Day. Since there’s no pastry bag to fill. It’s great for whipping up quick cupcakes or frosting brownies in fun, holiday colors. Plus, unlike the frosting in the tub, once opened you do not need to refrigerate it so it doesn’t get hard. Easy Frost also comes in 3 “traditional” flavors: Chocolate Fudge, Vanilla Dream and Velvety Cream Cheese.
